Reader Andrew writes:
Cowboy, What is your view on what a real Australian is?
Is the true blue country man working on the land a dying breed?
Cowboy says:
“I think a common Australian attitude is things go right, things go wrong as long as you can have a laugh and not take things too seriously.
I have learnt this especially working with sheep. They can be very frustrating!
But it does you no good getting the shits about it , you will only give yourself a headache and stress.
It’s hard to define what ‘a real Australian’ is.
There’s the larrikin character, always joking about but it’s a bit of a stereotype.
I don’t think you can put everyone in a box and define what an Australian is, it’s too broad.
People from all over the world live here and everyone brings something different to the table.
This adds to the character and colour of Australia.
Where I live I am probably more likely to run into the’ larrikin types, but it’s a different story in say, Melbourne or Sydney.
I don’t think the man on the land is a dying breed, we are definitely getting smaller in numbers, but there will always be people drawn to the land no matter what”

A agree with Andrew about his own question – it was a tricky one! Good job for pointing out that OZ is made up of people from all over, and that we all bring something to the table…Nicely said
Cowboy says – Thanks RBT hahahaha, sorry, realllllly have to let that go, but have a feeling I won’t.
Seriously, thanks for the Feedback and stay tuned as Cowboy tackles more tricky questions throughout the week! xx
don’t let your cowboy get away. hog tie him if you have to!!!!
You should put on here a section for young single cowboys who want young single fillies for life. i have 2 young fillies who are only interested in the farm, i do think they should start looking at some wrangler butts though, ohhh well never mind they will settle down when the time is right.
