Today I was reading a post by author Laura Munson, it made me laugh it was titled ‘Thinking Outside the Barn’ – she was asking readers to send in photographs of Barn houses with faces. Check it out.
We don’t really ‘do’ barns in this part of the world but I liked the idea that readers sent in pics on a particular theme.
So, I thought instead of Monday Reader of the Week I would like to mix things up a bit and try a photographic getting to know you feature.
What do you think? Would you guys participate?
I’d come up with a theme for the month and you send me a pic – at the end of the month I compile a groovy little slideshow that would showcase different scenes from all the corners of the globe where you are reading with a caption for each.

I am going to take a leap of faith here and issue a challenge for August:
For this month (lets say it is August already)send me a photo of something in the town / city you live in that inspires you – I want to see a slice of where you live and something you love about it. Be creative!
Please send me a little bit of information about it too – ie – where it is and what there is to love about it so I can include captions in the slideshow.
Obviously I can only run a slideshow if I get enough photos to warrant one – so let me know if you are down with the challenge by pledging your commitment in the comments below.

Hope you will all jump to this new challenge and I am not left with the sound of crickets…. :-)

Sharni this is toooooo weird. I was going to do this exact same thing on my network. In fact I was taking pics of stuff for that very purpose just today…
