The Gift of “Rainbow”

This morning the Cowboy, Monte and I went for a drive out to the property Cowboy works on to check on some sheep.

It was nice, we set up the baby seat in the ute and all climbed in together. Monte was over the moon to be riding in the ‘truck’ and we head out of town 30kms or so.

On the way back we passed a property called “Rokeby”. Before it was “Rokeby” the property was called Rainbow and was owned by my Great Grandparents.

I said to Cowboy and Monte how I thought “Rainbow” was a better name for the property and what a shame the name was changed. I spoke about my Great Grandparents and wondered what they were like.

I felt sentimental and a little bit connected to the area as we drove past especially now with another generation of the family in the ute.

The moment, and I mean THE moment after I finished my sentimental sentences something magic went down.

The most glorious rainbow I have ever seen appeared.

It was a rainbow so clear and bright you could see where it seemed to touch the ground on either side.

The pot of gold was all but visible.

Word up to my Great Grandparents for providing this magical moment — I just know the spectacular sight was given to us by them.

Thanks Victoria Anderson for capturing the moment!
