As you can probably tell my blog and I are going through a transitional phase.
Regular features have temporarily gone out the window and I am using my site more as a traditional blog slash diary. Forgive me as this is what I need it for right now.
The big issues can wait until I at least have my hearing back, very fluey at present.
I am sure hindsight will reveal this as all part and parcel of the closing of one door… but in the present it feels a little blergh. (thanks Alex for this apt description).
While transitioning I have been up to my ears (perhaps why i am losing my hearing?) in music.
Did you see the movie Magnolia?
I thought it was brilliant, pretty depressing, but brilliant.
The soundtrack is also excellent.
I looked up a song and scene from the movie that haunted me and has stayed with me since. A little depressing also, but beneath it is a great piece of advice for the hard times:
“It’s not going to stop , til you wise up”
That is life isn’t it?
Sometimes it is easy to take the victim mentality “Why does this keep happening to me?” but then keep on keeping on with similar destructive behaviour.
Beneath the gloom and doom of this song and footage from the movie, there is a great message : Take control over your situation / life.
If you don’t like what is happening, own it, change it – evolve – wise up!

Right on sistah! Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Maybe it’s time for an evolution revolution…
