I’ll blog tomorrow and share the fb link.

Have you considered doing a paypal donation button on your website or something similar? Then you wouldn’t have to chase them up.

Sharni I love this and I am pledging $50 for my daughter and I. It is a small price to pay for freedom of speech and I wish your cause all the best. I hope you find a big name to help your cause.

    Cheers Nikki…

Sharn here is a forum posting that I posted to the Circle girls at channel 10. I also thought I would send it to the 7pm project.

    To the Circle Girls,

I love your show and I have an awesome and inspiring story for you.

This is a call to The Circle girls to help a sister out. Sharni Montgomery is a blogger who is dedicated to the Afghan women’s writing project. She has dedicated herdelf to train and run 9km for the cause. She is try8ing to contact big businesses to help her with her donations. The cause is amazing and it is about giving women a voice and being heard through writing and not only that freedom of speech as Australian women we all take for granted.

She is a blogger and I have never met her but she has inspired me to contribute and all I ask you to do is check out her blog and her video and ask yourselves imagine if we weren’t born in Australia what if our daughters were succomed to a life like an Afghan women. Please Read

    Here are her blog links

    Hi Sharni,
What a great project you are working on here. I would like to pledge a total of $90 – $15 for each of six of my relatives for Christmas.
I’ve written each of my family members a note explaining the gift based on your insights into the Afghan Women’s Writing Project and my own perusal of the AWWP website which I will give them at Christmas.
Reading the struggles of some of the women writers made me feel so lucky to be an Australian and I am pleased, on behalf of my family, to help in some small way.
Best of luck with your run and great work bringing the AWWP to the attention of Aussie women.
    Jen

Hey mate, I can’t remember if I’ve pledged some money already, so just in case I haven’t can I pledge $50? Do I just go to the site and donate there, or do I wait until you’ve done your run?
You’re doing a great job. I tell you, after my Xmas indulgences I need to run at least 50km to work off the damage….
