Tonight I kicked off my swimming career.
I have found some gorgeous swimmers online but am broke, so I went in an ensemble from G0Lo which were all I could get my hands on at short notice. Hey I’m punching out laps at the local not lying across a sunlounge in Tahiti!
Still, must say I quite like the pair pictured.
So I rocked up tonight in my Go-Lo ‘go get-em cossies’ thinking it would be fairly easy to knock out at least ten laps….
How wrong I was
I swam FOUR laps, and no, not non-stop.
Four laps with breaks in between. Sometimes in between the lap hahahaha.
I am very grateful I wasn’t mad enough to commit to the 100 laps (5kms)!!
Still 1500m seems like Mission Impossible right now!
I shall go each evening and see how I can improve.
Perhaps I need to find a training program for swimming, otherwise I really do not know how on Earth I will get from where I am today to 1500m! Without stopping!
There must be a method to this madness.
Does anyone know a good swimming program? Is anybody joining me?

Love the swimmers but where can you buy the body to match the models?
Sadly this is one challenge I won’t be joining you on, pools turn my hair green ;)
Keep going with the swimming Sharni – it gets better fast! I remember starting laps again a few years ago and it was exhausting, hunger-making work just going up and back a couple of times but within two weeks doing anything less than 20 laps was cheating myself it became so easy. You’ll get there fast I promise! Mind you even now, I do still love having a breather every 8 laps or so.
