Seeking Inspiration

Lately I have been in the mood for inspiration. (by lately, I mean permanently)

I have been searching the blogosphere and World Wide Web like a crazy lady, searching for ….. something….. someone’s words to soak up, something to inspire me.

So tonight I decided to share with you some faves and new finds.

Some are blogposts, some are online shops!

Some for  - ‘oooh that is pretty’ kind of reasons and some, for deeper reasons!

I hope you enjoy them, and then share yours too!

An eternal favorite for all things original and thought provoking with a unique and persuasive voice is  Sarah Wilson. Her blog has really evolved into such a fascinating and thought provoking community. It is my number one.

A post that I enjoyed recently – Find Your Spot

Girl Gone Child – Rebecca Woolf is a great writer, and I find myself frequently popping in to read the latest. She is getting a lot more give-away/sponsored and less thought-provoking but still, I’m pretty hooked.

I particularly enjoyed this post — The  Speed at which we Slow Down

Gala Darling, this girl is massively popular in the blogosphere and I have been reading her blog mainly out of curiosity.

She is original and ‘out there’ but perhaps a little too sparkly and tiaras for me. She is worth checking out purely for her shoes. Somehow I can’t see me pulling  off some of her pink glittery platforms in my OHT…. but then again…

The very sparkly - Gala Darling (her real name!)

Ada & Darcy – I stumbled across this blog while looking for ideas to brighten up our home; the author Kellie Collis has some kinda talent. So many pretty and colourful ideas for your home. I am quite taken with her lamps and latte cups. She has an online store which you can click on from her blog.

Loving these lamps!

And I think I could stay home and have a latte with some of these babies

GOOP I have to say, I really love Gwyneth Paltrow and her blog. I subscribe to the newsletters and she explores some fantastic topics and there are always great food and parenting and health ideas too.

I do really love Gwyn. GOOP is great for inspiration

While she does have fashion and hair articles, I am most drawn to her more poignant pieces like this one on Parental Acceptance

Collective Shout

A whole different kettle of fish- but Collective Shout inspires me because it tackles the world of sexploitation in a proactive way.

Instead of just ranting and raving it propels readers to take action against media messages about women. They have had some great wins too. You can read about them here.

TED : Some nights I will just click through TED, pick a topic and get inspired by the fantastic speakers they have on there. My most recent speaker I watched and became inspired by was Bruce Feiler and his talk about “The Council Of Dads” worth watching — here.

Litte Rock Boutique

Found this online store randomly and love it. I have a thing for these Moroccan drawer knobs and have visualised them on my drawers!! I am going to keep visualising the hell out of them and a few other numbers that I found in their boutique…

Unclutterer- Well this little site has a wealth of inspiration if , like me, you hate the hoard and feel alive once uncluttered, get your minimal self to their homepage!

I read this post recently and thought it was lovely The Secret Of The Elders, the rest of her blog could appeal to wannabe Goddesses!

I am ALWAYS on the hunt for inspiring blogs as-well as nice online shops. What have been your top online discoveries, addictions, hubs for inspiration?? Please share!
